Ministry Update

Inoli Hall

“What would it take to make God real to you?” This was the question I asked Isaiah, a high school student in a skate park in Maine. Isaiah had read much of the Bible but still did not believe (in part, because his mom remains a heroine addict despite his prayers).  I looked at John, who had just hurt his finger in a fall; it was still bloody. I asked Isaiah if he would believe in God if God healed John’s finger. When he said, “Yes,” I prayed for John, and the pain in his finger instantly decreased dramatically. I began to share God’s truth with Isaiah who was then willing to pray after me, “Jesus I open my heart to you.”

The other members of our ministry team (besides Pastors Lenny and Brittney) were inner-city teenagers from our youth group. It was amazing to see these youth who come from one of New Haven’s poorest, most violent neighborhoods infiltrate the park to share the gospel with other youth in another state.  Many of the people with whom we interacted were Muslim refugees from Africa. Our visit greatly encouraged the leaders of a new missions ministry (a “missional community”) in Maine.

In His Service,

I'noli

In other travels, I helped take a group of Yale students to an Ivy League conference in New Jersey where the Lord brought me back to a place of spiritual rest. During the conference, God used me to open the eyes of a Princeton student to the importance of prayer.     Other than that conversation, the Lord did not permit me to minister to anyone until the conference was officially over. As we were about to leave, Brenda (another Princeton student) asked me to pray for her. I took her hands, and without my saying a word, the Holy Spirit fell upon her like wind and filled her with joy unspeakable. She began to laugh uncontrollably as God restored her soul.

I carried this rest and joy onto the streets of New Haven a few days later. Pastor Lenny, a group of church members, and I stood outside the local club scene to share the gospel on a Friday night. I shared my testimony with a stranger, named Jeremy, who was weighed down by guilt and shame. As we ministered to him and his girlfriend, they both began to weep. Jeremy gave me his number and is planning to come to church this week!

As you pray this month, please know that a small core team of three Yale students and I are in the process of revamping our monthly prayer meetings. Please pray as we meet with the ministry staff from each campus ministry (e.g. Campus Crusade, Inter-varsity, etc.) that God will move on their hearts to partner more closely with us. Ask God to remove fears that prevent unity. Ask him to pour out the spirit of unity and intercession on the christian community at Yale. These meetings are crucial to the future direction of our ministry.

In the Zeal of the Lord,

I’noli Hall

Phillip & Amy Boswell

Alaska

It is our desire to reach into all areas of Alaska to carry the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ into areas that are spiritually dark. My wife Amy and I have had a passion placed in our hearts for the , the Native Alaskans. It is our mission to establish and cultivate relationships among the Native Communities. In doing so, allowing God to point out future leaders and ministers training them to fully walk in their calling . The call on my life is to effectively reach all generations for Christ Jesus in a real and relevant way. We are to foster growth in discipleship by ways of opportunity and relationship. It is my heart’s desire to see a revival sweep across this earth like nothing our modern world has known.

Yale /South America   I'noli's mission is to disciple Yale students and create a regular space of worship and prayer on campus where God's presence is manifested. He envisions a campus unified and stirred toward revival – that is, repentance, joy, and passion for Jesus. One of his methods is the Yale Burn – a monthly five-hour prayer meeting that unifies the Christian student ministries at Yale. In the local church, he ministers to at-risk New Haven youth and is raising up youth worship teams. The third component of I'noli's ministry is foreign missions (evangelism). His target countries are the Crow Indian Nation (located in Montana), Suriname, Colombia, Jamaica, & South Korea                        "The values of the campus will become the values of society within ten years. It is here  where the most available and trainable masses of people are located. When we change the campus, we learn how to change the city, state, and nation. Excerpt from "Youth Now"
